The Council
The Council comprises 10 Council Members:- The Chairman, Immediate Past Chairman, 2 Vice-Chairmen, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, and 5 other Council Members. The Chairman is elected by the Council of the previous session from amongst the 2 Vice-Chairmen of the previous session or any past Vice-Chairmen. The Vice-Chairman Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer and the remaining 5 Council Members are elected by secret ballots from among all Corporate Members of the Branch. The Chairman, Vice-Chairmen and the 5 Council Members will hold their positions for 2 sessions. The Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer will only hold their posts for one session i.e. these 2 posts would be open for election every session. All the living Past Presidents of the Branch with their vast experience and expertise are always invited to attend Council meetings to contribute their constructive views and efforts. For the time being, IEMNS operations are not supported by a full time Secretariat. The Honorary Secretary and the Honorary Treasurer together supervise the day-to-day running of the Institution and its financial affairs on a voluntary part-time basis using their own respective voluntary part-time supporting assistants
